William W. Bean

Private William W. Bean enlisted on 8 July 1862, and served in Company H of the 70th Indiana Volunteer Infantry. William was discharged on 12 March 1863, due to a medical condition he received while in the service.

William was born 27 August 1831 in Burke County, North Carolina. He died on 27 June 1888, in Owen County, Indiana, and is buried in the River Hill Cemetery, Spencer, Owen County, Indiana.

He was married to Sarah Jane (Baker) Bean on 9 January 1853, in Owen County, Indiana.

Sarah Baker was born in Indiana on 25 April 1834, and died in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana, on 13 March 1910. She is buried beside her husband in the River Hill Cemetery, Owen County, Indiana.
